Groundhog Day and stuff

This coming year, both Groundhog Day and the State of the Union address could occur on the same day.

As Air America Radio pointed out, "It is an ironic juxtaposition of events: one involves a meaningless ritual in which we look to a creature of little intelligence for prognostication...while the other involves a groundhog."

(seen on Facebook last December and saved to be posted automatically, today)

(edited on Groundhog Day, itself)
HA!
It didn't happen.
The State of the Union address by the president of the United States happened in January. But the govenor's address -- the state of the state, was today. Hmmmmm.

Which ruins a perfectly good joke. (which is funny, no matter what your political persuasion.)
Oh well,
I never was good at jokes, anyway, as anyone who has read my Groundhog Day Book of Facts and Fun can see. Most of the jokes in that book (And those in the Halloween Book of Facts and Fun) were donated by other people. (for which I am very grateful.) I only came up with one or two jokes, myself.
My very favorite joke is:
What side of the groundhog has the most hair?

If you can answer that one (in the comments), I'll send you a copy of the Groundhog Day book.
